I love art..

Ikebana - The Japanese Art of Flower Arrangement

This ancient art form is as meaningful and expressive as it is beautiful. I love the guiding philosophy behind the arrangement. Minimalism is an important principle in Ikebana, the pieces are meant to be simple but, to me, the more simplistic pieces are the most successful ones.

Only organic material is used in Ikebana and often the flowers themselves are not the most important aspects of the piece. Stems and leaves are used to emphasize line and form.

I'm very fond of the relationship that the Japanese have with nature. To me, Ikebana is an expression of that relationship through the minimalist perspective of the artist. That seems biased I know but I already said I prefer the most simplistic of Ikebana pieces...

Covered with the flowers,
Instantly I'd like to die
In this dream of ours!
